We understand that medications affect each person differently. Our extensively trained psychiatrists work closely with each client to monitor side effects and the impact of their medications, adjusting as needed. Additionally, our psychiatrists take special care to assess how new medications interact with the client’s existing treatments.
The medications prescribed are individualized depending on the client’s needs and diagnosis. We prescribe a range of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs), Serotonin and Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs), atypical antipsychotic agents, and in some cases, stimulants.
- Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs): FDA-approved medications used to treat anxiety, depression and some eating disorders.
- Serotonin and Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs): Used to treat depression and are FDA-approved.
- Atypical Antipsychotic Agents: Treat conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder.
- Stimulants: Typically prescribed to treat ADHD.
